Paint Protection Film Care & Maintenance

In addition to what was covered in the video, here are a few more key tips to ensure your Paint Protection Film (PPF) stays in top condition:

🔹 Avoid Harsh Chemicals – Stay away from abrasive cleaners, petroleum-based products, or strong degreasers. These can break down the film over time.

🔹 Pressure Washing Caution – If using a pressure washer, keep the nozzle at least 24 inches away from film edges and avoid spraying directly at them to prevent lifting.

🔹 Bug & Tar Removal – For stubborn debris, use a PPF-safe bug remover and a microfiber towel. Avoid excessive scrubbing.

🔹 Long-Term Protection – Consider applying a PPF-friendly spray sealant or ceramic booster to enhance durability and hydrophobic properties.

🔹 Regular Inspections – Check your film occasionally for lifting or bubbling, especially around the edges, and contact us if any areas need attention. For the best results, follow these tips along with the maintenance steps in the video.

Window Tint Care and Information

Proper Window Cleaning Methods

To keep your tinted windows looking flawless, follow these extra care and cleaning guidelines in addition to what we covered in the video:

🔹 Wait Before Rolling Down Windows – After installation, allow 3–5 days before rolling down your windows to ensure the tint fully adheres.

🔹 Use Ammonia-Free Cleaners – Standard glass cleaners can damage the tint. Stick to tint-safe, ammonia-free products or a simple mix of water and mild soap.

🔹 Microfiber Towels Only – Use a soft microfiber towel for cleaning to avoid scratches. Avoid paper towels or rough clothes.

🔹 No Scraping or Sharp Objects – Never use razor blades or abrasive tools on tinted windows, as they can scratch or peel the film. Regular, gentle cleaning will keep your tint looking fresh and ensure long-lasting performance.

Ceramic Coating Maintenance & Tips

To maintain your ceramic-coated vehicle's hydrophobic properties and shine,  follow these extra care steps along with what we covered in the video:

CALL (248) 550-4363

🔹 Use pH-neutral Car Soap – Avoid soaps with wax, gloss enhancers, or harsh chemicals that can interfere with the coating’s properties.

🔹 The Two-Bucket Wash Method – Always use one bucket for clean, soapy water and another for rinsing your wash mitt to minimize swirl marks.

🔹 Avoid Automatic Car Washes – Stick to hand washing or touchless washes. Car washes with brushes can degrade the coating over time.

🔹 Dry with a Microfiber Towel or Air Blower – To prevent water spots, use a soft microfiber drying towel or a touchless air blower. Avoid rough towels.

🔹 Boost Hydrophobic Properties – Every 3-5 months you can use IGL Enhancer to provide a boost to your Ceramic Coating.

🔹 Decontamination Washes – Every few months, use a coating-safe iron remover to eliminate embedded contaminants without damaging the coating.

By following these steps, your ceramic coating will continue to provide superior gloss, hydrophobicity, and protection for years to come.
